Unpack the delivery immediately in the presence of the courier and check all components for transport damage. Report any visible damage to the carrier and to us without delay.
In the box
- Surfboard, battery and battery charger
- 2 tail fins
- Surf shoes (2 soles, 2 uppers, 4 fixing straps) and 8 fixing screws
- 2 wristband starter keys
Handling – never drop the board or the battery, do not stand on or drag the board and always carry the battery with both hands.
Charging & battery safety
- Check that your mains voltage matches the charger (110 V or 220 V version, 15 A output) and always use a grounded three-pin socket.
- Charge outdoors only, in a dry, well-ventilated place away from flammable materials – never indoors and never unattended.
- Connect the charger to the battery first, then to the socket, and wait at least 15 seconds for the charger to match the battery voltage.
- A full charge takes about 3 hours – do not charge for longer than 4 hours. The charge level is shown on the battery LCD display.
- Do not charge at high temperatures, do not use a car power supply and never power other devices from the battery.
- Never short-circuit, crush, drop or heat the battery; do not use a damaged battery. In case of smoke, fire or abnormal heat keep a safe distance and call emergency services.
- Recharge after every use and at least every 1–2 months during storage.
Installation: foot straps & battery
Foot straps (surf shoes)
- Insert the fixing strap into the sole with its top facing forward, thread the lace through the strap and fix the strap into the upper.
- Screw the shoes onto the board – right foot in front.
- Adjust them to fit securely but never overtighten: your feet must release in a fall to avoid ankle injuries.
- Beginners should ride without shoes; use them only after more than 5 hours of riding experience.
Battery
- Check that the battery contacts and the sealing ring are clean and undamaged.
- Raise the handle to 90° to open the lock, lift the battery with both hands and place it into the compartment – rounded end to the front, trapezoid end to the rear.
- Lower the handle to lock the battery. Incorrect installation can cause poor contact, water ingress or damage to the lock.
Before riding & starting
Before launch
- Follow local rules for electric watercraft and ride only where there are no swimmers, divers, floating debris, rocks or shallow sandbanks.
- Always wear an approved life jacket and a helmet, tight-fitting clothing and tie long hair back.
- Place the board in water at least 50 cm deep before switching on, and check the battery sealing ring and lock.
Starting
- Fasten the starter wristband and insert the magnetic safety plug into the control handle.
- Lie on the board with legs slightly apart: left hand on the front arm rest, right hand on the control handle.
- Select the speed mode on the handle – low gear 0–30 km/h, high gear up to 55 km/h.
- Accelerate smoothly, keep a stable posture and always ride in water deep enough to avoid contact with the propeller.
Emergency situations
- In strong waves or bad weather reduce speed immediately and return to shore in a controlled way.
- Listen to the board – unusual noise or sudden loss of speed with enough battery usually means something is caught in the propeller. Stop, switch off and check the jet before continuing.
- Slow down near obstacles and pass them carefully.
- If you lose control, release the handle and fall into the water away from the direction of travel.
- After every fall: release the handle, make sure the magnetic safety plug is detached and the power is cut off – otherwise the motor could restart and cause serious injury.
Troubleshooting
Something caught in the jet – pull the magnetic safety plug, press the handle switch once to discharge the system and turn the board upside down. Remove seaweed, rope or debris with tools (pliers, screwdriver, knife) – never with your fingers, the propeller edges are sharp. If noise or poor acceleration persists, the propeller may be damaged: stop using the board and contact our service.
Sudden power loss – back on shore, check the battery compartment and sealing ring. A little water in the compartment is normal, but the battery contacts must stay dry; replace a damaged sealing ring. Disconnect the safety plug for 5–10 minutes and check the battery display: at ≤ 72 V or 0 % the battery is empty.
Board does not switch off – dry the battery contacts (treat corrosion with WD-40 or a similar contact spray), rinse a sandy control handle with fresh water; if the handle housing is damaged or the fault persists, the control handle must be replaced.
Short ride time – in calm water with a 60 kg rider at up to 55 km/h the board runs about 45–60 minutes. Shorter times can be caused by overload, waves, current or wind, a fouled propeller, a damaged fin or sealing ring, an incompletely charged, overheated, damaged or aged battery (over 800 cycles). If performance keeps dropping, contact our service.
Maintenance & storage
After every ride
- Rinse all exposed parts with fresh water after riding in the sea.
- Remove the battery, wipe the battery and the compartment dry and protect the contacts with WD-40 or another anti-corrosion spray.
- After riding in fresh water, remove weeds, sand and debris from the propeller and the water inlet.
- Always carry the battery with both hands, never drag, drop or step on it and do not leave it in direct sunlight.
Storage
- Store the clean board in its original box or a board bag to protect it from dust and insects.
- Store the battery in a cool, well-ventilated place away from flammable materials and fully recharge it every two months.
Warranty
- Power system – 1-year limited warranty (excluding the shell and battery).
- Battery – 9-month limited warranty.
- The carbon-fibre shell is not covered by the warranty.
Failures under normal use caused by defects in material or workmanship are assessed by ACTION YACHTS and repaired free of charge. If the same fault reappears on the same part within 30 days of a paid repair, we fix it free of charge.
Not covered: use or storage contrary to the manual, disassembly by the user or unauthorised persons, damage from impact, falls or force majeure, and normal wear parts (cables, shoe straps, battery seals, non-slip mats, fins).
Keep the product information card together with your invoice – it serves as your warranty certificate. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
