Rental Terms & Conditions
Cancellation, Safety, Weather & Security Deposit Policy
1. Reservations and Payment
All equipment rentals must be booked and confirmed in advance. The full rental price is payable at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The reservation is valid only for the equipment, date, time and duration stated in the booking confirmation.
2. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their reservations subject to the following conditions:
- More than 72 hours before the rental begins: 100% refund.
- Between 24 and 72 hours before the rental begins: 50% refund.
- Less than 24 hours before the rental begins: no contractual refund.
- No-show: no contractual refund.
One free rescheduling request is permitted at least 24 hours before the rental, subject to availability.
These conditions do not limit any mandatory statutory consumer rights.
3. Minimum Age and Physical Requirements
The minimum age for independent rental and operation is 18 years.
All participants must be competent swimmers, physically capable of safely operating the selected equipment and able to understand the safety instructions.
Maximum rider weight depends on the selected model and manufacturer's specifications. These limits must not be exceeded.

ACTION YACHTS reserves the right to refuse the handover of equipment when objective safety requirements are not met, subject to applicable consumer protection law.
4. Safety Requirements
Before using the equipment, customers must:
- Complete the mandatory safety briefing.
- Wear appropriate safety equipment, including a helmet and flotation device where required.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Remain within designated operating areas.
- Avoid swimmers, vessels, obstacles and restricted areas.
- Never operate equipment under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Comply with applicable maritime rules and licensing requirements.
Equipment must not be transferred to unauthorized persons.
5. Adverse Weather Conditions
Customer safety is our priority.
ACTION YACHTS may postpone, interrupt or cancel a rental when weather or sea conditions make operation unsafe.
If ACTION YACHTS cancels a rental before it begins due to unsafe weather conditions, customers may choose between:
- Rescheduling to another available date.
- Receiving a full refund of the affected rental.
If a rental is interrupted because of unsafe weather conditions, ACTION YACHTS will offer rescheduling or an appropriate refund for the unused portion.
Ordinary changes in weather or personal preferences do not automatically qualify for a refund when safe operation remains possible.
6. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required before equipment is handed over.
The deposit amount depends on the equipment selected (see the table above) and is displayed before booking confirmation.
The deposit may be used to cover documented damage, missing accessories or other established contractual liabilities.
Following equipment inspection, the unused deposit will be released or refunded without undue delay, subject to the payment provider's processing times.
A security deposit does not limit liability for damage exceeding its amount, insofar as permitted by applicable law.
7. Equipment Inspection and Return
All equipment is inspected before handover and upon return.
The customer and ACTION YACHTS representative shall record the condition of the equipment, including any pre-existing damage.
Customers must return the equipment at the agreed time, with all supplied accessories.
Normal wear and tear is not chargeable.
8. Technical Problems
Customers must immediately stop using the equipment and notify ACTION YACHTS if a technical malfunction or damage occurs.
Where equipment becomes unusable due to a technical failure not caused by the customer, ACTION YACHTS will offer a replacement, rescheduling or appropriate refund.
9. Applicable Law
These rental conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Croatia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
